The Beginning of Stanley's Journey in Kansas City, Missouri

Here is a picture of Stanley in front of the Science City sign at Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri. Science City is one of our families favorite places in Kansas City! The whole family has fun everytime we go! Stanley had a pretty good time, too! His favorite part of Science City was the Space Shuttle.

He also had a lot of fun playing with electricity and playing in the sewer tunnels!

Stanley is very excited to begin his travels. He will be heading to Arkansas next, and there's a Girl Scout Troop that is going to tell him (and us) some of their Thanksgiving traditions, and taking him to one of their favorite places that they are most thankful for!
While staying with the Collins family in Smithville, Missouri, Stanley found out that they are very thankful for each other and for their friends! He also found out that every year, the day after Thanksgiving, the Collins family heads over to the Christmas Tree Farm and cuts down their own tree! They head straight home after getting their tree, make some hot chocolate, put on a movie, and begin decorating the Christmas Tree!
Have fun with all of your new friends you'll be making! We can't wait to hear about and learn about all the places you're going and all the people you'll be meeting!

Thanksgiving Flat Stanley

Welcome to the beginning of Thanksgiving Flat Stanley's life! We will be sending Stanley to his very first host after the weekend! He was born Friday, November 5, 2010 in Smithville, Missouri in our house on Wisteria Court! I am posting his very first pictures, where he is starting out in our Homeschool schoolroom. We have plans to take him to one of our favorite spots in the city this weekend. I will post again after our field trip with more pictures and how Stanley did! At that time we will also be posting what one of our Thanksgiving traditions is. And then he will be set off on his Great Thanksgiving Adventure!
Thank you all for participating and making this an exciting adventure for both Flat Stanley and for our family!
